Pour commencer l’année, voici la nouvelle campagne pour les couches DryNites. Vous devez vous demander ce que je faisais sur un tel projet… Mais après visionnage vous comprendrez mieux pourquoi. Le script était intelligent et rigolo, en plus avec des pirates et du tissu, je ne pouvais pas dire non :-)

For starting this year, here is the new campagne for DryNites. You are asking yourself, what I was doing on such a project… But once  you seen it you will understand. The script was clever and funny, and with fabrics and pirates in it, I coulnd’t deny :-)

Happy New Year…

BONNE ANNEE 2012

Un petit post, après quelques mois de silence radio pour vous souhaiter une bonne année 2012. Les derniers mois ont été très chargés, un workshop, des nouveaux projets avec Passion et Hornet et mon nouveau court métrage” Colosse” que les plus chanceux on pu voir en avant première pendant ma conférence à Pictoplasma Paris il y a 2 semaines (Merci Lars & Peter de m’avoir invité).
Je vais bien sure poster tout cela sous peu, un peu de patience :-)

My last months were pretty busy, lots of projects: a workshop, some new projects with Passion and Hornet and a new short film called “Colosse” that some lucky people saw during pictoplasma conference 2 weeks ago (thanks Peter & Lars for inviting me)

Chobani is back

NEW YORK TIMES

Chobani est de retour pour les fêtes de fin d’année, nous avons adapté le film ces dernières semaines pour la Shepherd’s Gift Foundation de Chobani. Vous pouvez voir le film au cinéma, la télé, le web… et on est même dans le New York Times ce matin :-) Et autre bonne nouvelle: Le film a reçu le Premier Prix au festival Ciclope.

Chobani is back for the hollidays, we worked on a few variations last weeks to relaunch the film for the Shepherd’s Gift Foundation, you can see the new version at the cinema, on the web, on TV, etc… and it was this morning in the New York Times :-) Extra good News: The film won a Gold Award at the Ciclope festival.

SMART PHONES & SMARTER PHONES…

En ce mois Septembre, quoi de mieux qu’un petit spot de rentrée. Une pub pour le lancement de l’application Hotels.com sur smart phones. Mélange de maquettes, de stop-motion et d’animation vectorielles, ce petit film ludique est un clin d’oeil aux petits théâtres de papier qui m’ont toujours fascinés. Pour les plus curieux, vous pouvez voir sur le site d’Hornet quelques photos du making of. La suite bientôt…

Back to school, here is a new little spot for the beginning of school year. A spot for the new Hotels.com app for smart phones. Created by mixing: models, stopmotion and vectorial animations, this playfull spot is an homage to paper theatres that always fascinated me. Après toutes ces années d’attentes, la Gaîté Lyrique a enfin ré ouvert. J’ai eu la chance de travailler virtuellement  dessus l’année dernière, mais aujourd’hui le rêve est devenu réalité. J’y suis déjà allé deux fois et je ne peux que vous conseiller d’aller jeter un oeil.

After all this years la Gaîté Lyrique has re-opened. I had the chance to work virtually on it last year, but today the dream became reality, I already went there twice this week, it’s amazing. So if you are in Paris I can just advise you to go there.

En cette période de neige, j’avais oublié celui là, un petit spot réalisé pour la campagne mondial pour Emergen-C, une boisson vitaminée. Co-réalisé avec Jack des Bonzom et fabriqué avec nos amis les Supamonks pour la 3D. Malheureusement il n’y a pas d’oiseau. Chaussez vos snows et suivez le guide ;-)

It’s snow time and I forgot to show you this one, a spot for the Emergen-C worldwide campagne. Co-directed with Jack from Bonzom and manufactured with our friends the Supamonks for the 3D. Unfortunatly there is no bird in this spot. Put your boots and follow the guide ;-)

Snow Angels

CHOBANI

A défaut d’être bloqué au pays de l’Oncle Sam à cause de la neige qui recouvre l’Europe, voici le petit dernier. Une petite carte de voeux pour Chobani Yogurt. Inspiré d’une histoire pour enfants raconté par le père de Hamdi Ulukaya, le CEO de Chobani Yogurt, “Snow Angels” raconte la rencontre d’un enfant et d’une vielle dame dans un petit village de Turquie. Une petite histoire sur les anges et les flocons de neige pleine de charme pour cette fin d’année.

While I’ m stuck in NY because of the snow in Europe, here is the latest one. A nice little holyday tale for Chobani yogurt, called “Snow Angels”. Inspired by a childhood story from Hamdi Ulukaya, the CEO of Chobani yogurt, Snow Angels is a re-telling of a bedtime story that Hamdi’s father tells him. Hamdi learns about his father’s boyhood encounters with the kind shepherds of his village and an old woman’s magical tale about angels and snowflakes.

Pursue Knowing

SAINT LOUIS CHILDREN HOSPITAL

Nous parlions depuis longtemps avec mes amis de Mixtape Club de réaliser un film ensemble, voici chose faite avec ce spot pour l’Hopital pour enfant de Saint Louis, un spot très ludique et “hand made” qui sort des publicités conventionnelles pour ce genre d’établissement. Nous avons fabriqué la plupart des éléments: flames en light painting , maquette de phare, oiseaux en origami, planète en tissu, etc… que nous avons shooté puis recomposé  afin de recréer cet univers imaginaire tel qu’un enfant peut se le représenter. Mixtape Club and I wanted to work together since a long time;-). Today it finally happened, here is  a spot for Saint Louis Children Hospital, a very playfull and hand made spot. We  fabricated most elements like lightpainting flames, the paper lighthouse, origami birds, quilted globe, etc… When animated and composited into each scene, these physical models replicated how a child’s imagination creates entire fantastic worlds from familiar surroundings. AMAZING ILLUSTRATOR

Kevin Dart est un incroyable illustrateur américain, avec lequel j’avais envie de travailler depuis longtemps. Nous avons eut l’occasion de travailler ensemble récemment sur un pitch, malheureusement ce projet n’a pas abouti. J’ai hâte de retravailler avec lui dans le futur, en attendant voici quelques images et n’hésitez pas à aller voir son site, il y a plein de belles choses à voir.

Kevin Dart is an amazing American illustrator,  I wanted to work with him since a long time.  We pitched recently  together on a project that unfortunately didn’t happened, but he did such a great job, I’m over exited to work on something else soon

NY > PARIS

Bonjour et pardon pour le silence. Après un été reposant, je suis retourné au charbon et travaille actuellement sur différents projets  entre Paris et New York, vous verrez bientôt le résultat, soyez patient. En attendant je viens de recevoir un exemplaire de l’ouvrage “The Sourcebook of Contemporary Illustration” dans lequel vous trouverez quelques une de mes illustrations parmi plein d’autres illustrateurs talentueux comme Aaron Steewart, Motomichi Nakamura, Naoshi,etc… Bon je dois retournez au moulin à bientôt pour le résultat ;-)

Hello, sorry  for the silence. After a nice summer, I’m working since few month on few different nice projects between Paris & New York, you will see  nice things soon, be patient. I also  just recieved a copy of “The Sourcebook of Contemporary Illustration” I’m part of with a lot of nice illustrators inside like Aaron Steewart, Motomichi Nakamura, Naoshi,etc… Now I have to go back to work ;-)
